This Privacy Policy applies to L'Cachet, including the website, chat interface, accounts, subscriptions, payment flows, support communications, and related services.
Because users may ask legal or administrative questions, avoid submitting information that is more sensitive than needed for your request.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect account details such as name, email address, profile image, preferred language, role, selected mode, account status, and account timestamps.
If you sign in with email and password, we process authentication data needed to create and secure your account. If you sign in with Google, we may receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, verification status, profile image, and authentication tokens needed for the sign-in session.
We collect chat and usage information such as messages, AI responses, selected mode, selected feature, conversation titles, session identifiers, timestamps, feedback, estimated token usage, and shared chat snapshots if you create a share link.
We may collect subscription, payment, technical, security, support, and communication information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, bill, and support the service.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and maintain L'Cachet.
- Create accounts, authenticate users, and manage sessions.
- Generate AI-assisted answers using prompts, conversation context, and retrieved source material.
- Manage plans, subscriptions, usage limits, payments, and receipts.
- Send account, verification, password reset, support, and service emails.
- Detect abuse, debug errors, protect security, prevent fraud, improve product quality, and comply with legal obligations.
4. AI Processing and Sensitive Legal Questions
When you submit a question, L'Cachet may process your message through retrieval systems, embedding systems, and AI model providers to generate grounded answers.
Do not submit confidential, privileged, highly sensitive, or third-party personal information unless you have the right to do so and the information is necessary. L'Cachet is not a lawyer and does not create attorney-client privilege.
5. Legal Bases and Data Protection
Depending on your location and the situation, we process personal data because it is necessary to provide the service, because you consented, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing the platform, or because we must comply with legal obligations.
L'Cachet is designed with awareness of Moroccan personal data protection principles, including Law No. 09-08, and may also handle requests from users covered by other privacy laws such as the GDPR where applicable.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, language preferences, theme preferences, selected chat and mode state, and basic service functionality. Blocking cookies may prevent parts of the service from working correctly.
7. How We Share Information
We may share information with authentication, email, payment, AI, database, hosting, logging, security, and infrastructure providers needed to run the service.
We may also share information with public or invited viewers when you create a share link, with authorities where required by law, or with a successor organization in a business transfer.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Google user data for advertising.
8. International Processing
L'Cachet and its service providers may process and store information in Morocco or other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain accounts and chat history, enforce usage limits, handle subscriptions and payments, resolve disputes, comply with legal or accounting obligations, protect security, and improve the service.
You may request deletion of your account or certain personal information. We may retain limited information where necessary for security, legal compliance, billing records, dispute resolution, or legitimate business needs.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, authentication, secure cookies, logging, and infrastructure security practices. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or information about how your personal data is processed.

L'Cachet is not intended for children under 13. Users under the age of majority in their location should use the service only with appropriate parental or guardian involvement.
